This long
Par 5 requires you to really think about how to weave around the
eight bunkers.
First, the tee shot must ‘thread the needle’ through deep bunkers. The
second shot is where the strategy begins as a bunker splits the fairway
about 80 yards short of the green.
If you choose the easier route left of the bunker, the third shot becomes
a very difficult approach over deep bunkers to a partially blind green.
However, if you choose and succeed to play a more difficult second to the
right of the bunker to a more elevated fairway, you are greatly rewarded by
being left with only a short chip through a wide open entrance to the green.
